A new workshop I will conduct at SCWC’s Feb 17–19, 2023 to address ALL the choices writers now have to get their our published. what path should you consider? Depends on your goals…and your story telling abilities…and THAT’s the truth! Join me on FEB 19th in San Diego, CA. Link to the conference www.writersconference.com
thanks for ur response. I'm not that well known and still pitching....my first book proposal several years ago was picked up by agent who sold it to S & S BUT...we had to do some work on it and THEN? S & S editors requested I do more....I did and knew if i didn't they likely wouldn't publish it.....Remember this as ur gain experience in the writing world, a writer's work-as good as she might think it is & evidenced by an agent picking it up - is almost ALWAYS a draft of what it will become....only WELL SEASONED writers, Nora Ephron, Stephen King and the like, go to press without agent and/or editor revisions....it's a tough biz we're in and i always encourage my writers to keep their eyes on their egos....good luck.

Not a festive post but I hope helpful. If you are someone or know someone suffering from depression, understand that Christmas is a trigger. Suicide rates significantly rise during this season. If you are someone or know someone whose depression appears to ameliorate during this time, be concerned. When people suffering from depression make a decision to end their life, their mood improves because they’ve made peace internally. So be concerned and let them know you are concerned.
If this is you, tell someone. Suicide hotlines are open 24/7
