Writers, Authors & Readers? Feedback please?

Asking for feedback from several groups regarding the publication of ‘SweetSpot: Now and Then’ my novel almost ready for its debut. Darlene Robinson’s story was supposed to be published by now but we’ve had delays. Challenges with the process the reason why. My publisher will have her story ready soon but my dilemma is this: We hope to market this novel to readers of women’s fiction, writers daydreaming of success, middle age + readers facing challenges this life passage ushers in as well as readers who want to believe that passion can flourish even after youth fades.

Should I publish a novel centered on the passions and pains that greet my midlife protagonist during these next frenetic few months? The election and its results will soon be followed by the holidays, which can be a time for ‘book gift giving,’ that is, if we can pop ‘SweetSpot: Now and Then’ above all the noise out here. Still, I’m undecided so before I go into discussions with my publisher, I thought I’d post this here for any reactions writers and readers might offer. Thanks for any feedback.
